Extensive and heavily illustrated encyclopedia with over 50 contributers on an exhaustive range of agricultural topics. Fussell (vol. IV) claims a first edition in 1850, but contradicts himself later in his book, reporting an 1855 first issue. We can find no hard evidence of an earlier printing to this 1855 edition. The holding libraries in WorldCat with an earlier date than 1855, all appear to be copy catalogued from a record with a publication range of 1851-1855.
